AFSB 5 Day Process To Clear SSB

Day 1: 

Here You Will Go Through Different Phases Of Tests in 1st day, Which Includes Officer Intelligence Rating Test (OIR) , Picture Perception and Description Test (PPDT) , psychological tests etc.

This Will be Your All 1st Day Task. At 1st You Will be called early between 6:45 – 7:00 AM to Selection center. 

Where A Senior Officer Welcome You & Introduced rules & regulations. Than They Will Provide A Form To Be Submitted.

Than Your Testing Phases Will Be Start But We Suggest To Take Breakfast with Filling Form Before Joining To Testing Room Because Testing Process Will Take Time.  

After All Formalities Will Be Done You will Conduct Officer Intelligence Rating Test (OIR).

When Officer Intelligence Rating Test (OIR) Will Be Ended Than You Will Conduct Picture Perception and Description Test (PPDT).

According To Your Performance Your Result Will Be Announced Till Afternoon & Selected Candidates Will Verify Documents & Remaining Candidates Will Be Returned to Home.

Than Your Documents Will Be Verify If You will Have Any Problems In your Documents Or You Will Not Eligible To Give exam Than You will Also Returned To Home or asked to come with complete documents in different batch.

Once All These Formalities Will Be Done Than a psychological test will also be conducted till night.

Day 2,3 & 4 :

Now You Will be free for any of 1 day & Your Interview And GTO Will be placed in Other Days. 

Here You Needs All Of your  certificates, academics and extra-curricular Certificates To Take Interview.

You Can Not Give Excuses For Anything Here You Necessarily Need Everything You Filled In Your PIQ Form, You Must Have Proper Certificate There , You Can Not Throw Any Excuse Here .

You Will Get A Notice Before Interview Or Notice Will Be Placed In Notice Board For Your Scheduled Interview. Interview Will Take Between 40-60 Minutes.

Day 5 :

Now Its Time To Discuss Your Results With Every Senior. You Will Be Invited In Conference Room. Here Proper Dressed Senior Officers Will Also Join You , Your GTO/Interview Must Held Before This Conference Day . Now They Will Call You For Hardly A Minute Of Process & Than Your Lunch Time Will Comes After Your Result Will Be Declared.

Now Selected Candidates will Complete Remaining Formalities And Other Will Take Back To Home.

For Flying Batch Candidates:

Candidates Who Applied For Flying Brach Will Face Additional Computerized Pilot Selection System (CPSS) and Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) tests.

You Will Get Only One Chance In CPSS & PABT Tests .If You Will Fail In These Tests You Can Not Apply Again For Armed Forces In Flying.

In CPSS You Will Be Face psychomotor and cognitive Challenges. Which Ensures Objectivity.This system is used to screen pilots for Army, Navy , IAF and the Coast Guard.

It Consist 2 Parts,

In 1st Part You Will Take MCQ Test .This test is easy , anyone with basic school level physics knowledge will clear it. This Test Should Give You Instruction On How You will read 6 kind of dials present in aircraft, Based On This You Will Take Multiple MCQs such as pattern matching, basic maths , tests (around 15 small quizzes in total), IQ Dial Reading Questions etc. As I Was Saying This Will Be Fairly Easy For Our Candidates.

After That You Will Sit In Virtual Aircraft (CPSS Machine With Joystick, Pedals & levers with a screen in front of you Like A Aircraft).Now You Will Play Multiple Games As Your Test Where You Would Have Achieve Certain Points to clear this test. You Can Easily Crack It If You Can Co-ordinate Your Hand & Legs Togather . If You Will Loose Game In 1st Attempt Or Not Able To Achieve Certain Points. Still You Will Get 2 More Chances To Achieve Points & The Best Score will Be Taken Out Of 3 Chances.

For Army – Lieutenant

For Navy – Sub Lieutenant

For Airforce – Flying Officer

Candidates Who Will Be selected From Naval Academy Will Take Preliminary Training For Both academic & Physical For 04 years at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala. Cadets Who Appeared After 12th Will Get A B.Tech Degree after Completion.

After Passing Out National Defence Academy , Army Cadets go to the Indian Military Academy, Dehra Dun, Naval Cadets go to Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala and Air Force cadets go to AIR FORCE ACADEMY, HYDERABAD.

Army Cadets: In I.M.A. Dehradun , They Will Turn You To a Gentleman at First One Year Where You Will Learn To Operate With your Sub-Units. After Completing The Training Cadets Come Up With A Complete Gentleman From There Mind & Body Shape For The Rank Of Lieutenant.

Naval Cadets (NDA): Naval Cadets are selected for executive branch in navy. Naval Cadets Join  Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala To Get 1 Year Of Training After Completion Of This Training Naval Cadets Is Promoted To Sub Lieutenant Rank.

Naval Cadets (NA):  Cadets applied for 10+2 Scheme Will take a 4 year B.Tech According to branches such as  Applied Electronics & Communication Engineering (for Executive Branch), Mechanical Engineering (for Engineering Branch including Naval Architect specialization) or Electronics & Communication Engineering (for Electrical Branch) as per Naval requirements. After Completing 4 Year Course,Cadets Are Awarded With A B.Tech Degree From Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).

Airforce Cadets (Flying):  Airforce Cadets Take 1½ years Of Flying Training. Cadets get provisional Commission After Completion Of 1 Year Training & after Completing Remaining 6 Months of training You Will absorbed as permanent commissioned officers on probation for one year.

Airforce Cadets (Ground Duty) : Cadets Applied for airforce ground duty get one year stream wise training . After completing 1 year of training You Will Get provisional commission in the rank of Flying Officer. Then After Probation of 1 Year You Will Become permanent commissioned officers .
